* These are optional features. You must check your email via POP3 or webmail. You may also have it forwarded to another email address if you wish. If you don't know what a MySQL database is, chances are, you don't need one. MySQL is not my thing, and I don't plan on offering too much support for it, so only ask if you know how to use it or can figure it out through someone other than me. ^^

Terms and Conditions
I don't charge you to use this space, and I expect that you don't have a commercial site. I refuse to host sites that have a paid membership or something of the sort. If you are making money off of your site, you obviously aren't doing it to pay for bandwidth. If you have a paid portion of your site, talk to me about it and I might still host you depending. Pop-up ads are also banned. If you have pop-up ads, I will hit you with a stick and then remove the offense, even if it means you loosing your site. I'm serious about those pop-ups.
Another thing. You may not use any scripts from hosted-scripts.com. They are known to have worms and backdoors, and we won't be risking the whole site just so you can have a counter you think looks pretty. There are other sites, and I expect you to be advanced enough to find a better place.
You must know how to use FTP! I can't afford to spend a lot of time helping you figure it out. I'm not going to lie to you. I don't like explaining it. FTP is required to have a site on hoshi-no-suna, so either be willing to figure it out, or already know how. ^^
Now on to the actual terms and conditions. ^^
1. No illegal material. Period. This includes pornography, hentai, and all that jazz. I may not be able to control all of the content outside of my little hub, but in my hub, you will play by my rules. It's only fair.
2. You must link back to me. Now you don't have to have a giant 72pt link to me on every page, but it's shouldn't be a game. Who can find the link in the web of pages? It should be easy to find. After all, I'm giving you a free webspace... the least you can do it link to me.
3. No stolen material. Everything on your site should be original, or at least given proper credit where needed. I will be checking in from time to time, so please don't think you can get away with anything... you sneaky people. ^^
4. You must be a decent web designer. I'm not all that great, and I see that. You should be at least as good as me to be hosted here. I need some people to make me work harder! ^^ I will not host any sites that use premade layouts as their layouts... unless it's an extremely special case... in which case you should expect me to be raking in at least $50 a month. ^_~
5. No hate sites. This includes your general attitude. If you are a rude person, I will not hesitate to remove your site without warning. Again, I can't make the whole internet a better place, but I can control this little niche.
6. Notify me when you are going to be on hiatus. More than two weeks of inactivity might merit a bit of a... Kohana induced hiatus, in which case you will have to convince me that you aren't wasting my space. ^^ I'm not the most active, so I'll be pretty lenient here, but don't expect a month of inactivity without a bit of a jab in the side from me.
7. Please keep in contact with me, even if it's just an occasional email to say you're still alive. I want to help you out if you need it, and I want to be able to proudly declare that my hostees are more than just hostees, but friends! ( Awwww. )
8. No hosting spot is ever guaranteed. This is a rule with all sites. I don't like to be told what to do, and I'm sure you don't want to hear me yell at you for demanding things of me. I will help you to the best of my ability, but I'm not the guru of all things html. I also don't respond well to people demanding that they have more space for their site. I normally get a little testy. ^^
9. Love your site. Seriously. If you don't love your site, you aren't going to want to update it. If you want to close your site, just tell me. It won't ban you from rehosting, I promise. If you want to completely revamp your site, rename it and everything, just tell me. I'm not as mean as I seem... I promise. ^^
Be sure to tell me random things in the comments box so I can get to know a bit about your character. Don't go on about how awesome you think you are, but tell me at least something about yourself. Go Apply!
